We highly recommend Ground for all meat shipments in the continental USA. Below is the UPS Ground Delivery map for shipments from Paris, Texas. Each color "ring" represents an additional day in transit. For instance Portland, Oregon is 4-Day Ground while Dallas, Texas is 1-Day Ground. Note that even Alaska and Hawaii are now 4-Day Ground!

Large orders receive better rates. For instance, if an individual (or a group) in Boston, MA orders 195 pounds of various products, not only do they earn the 12% discount on their purchase but they will pay only 82 cents a pound to have their shipment delivered to their door! If the average per-pound price of their order is $5, the discount is 60 cents, or 73% of the shipping cost. In effect then, their net shipping cost is only 22 cents per pound.

Here's how to estimate your shipping costs. Check the color coded map to determine the number of days in transit to your location. Then find your zone in the Zone Chart below. The first three digits of your zip code determine your zone. Then look up the shipping charges in the following tables to get an estimated shipping cost for however many pounds of meat you want to purchase. The estimated shipping costs listed below include the cost of our super-insulated boxes and the dry ice. (The charges for super insulated boxes and dry ice are: One-day is $6.50, two-day is $11.00, three-day is $15.50, four-day and five-day is $17.50.)

For the lowest shipping costs per pound, note that in many cases (not all) they are for shipments made in 65-pound increments (a 70-pound box overall). (The 201-pound order rate is always the least expensive per pound.) To calculate your storage requirements, figure that 35 pounds of meat requires one cubic foot of freezer space.

The makeup of every meat order varies from customer to customer. The customer names the cuts and various products they need and that determines the weight of each order. You can order 22 pounds, 37 pounds, 103 pounds, 456 pounds, or whatever weight of meat, condiments, dairy, and what else you want. The indicated weights in the shipping cost tables are only for estimating shipping costs. We have 80 different, customized, super-insulated, shipping containers. That's why we can box your order (no matter how big or small) in a way that minimizes your shipping charges.

The following tables COMBINE the shipping, container, and dry ice costs into simple estimated cost-per-pound matrixes for various shipping scenarios. For instance, if your meat order is 45 pounds and you live in the One-Day, Zone 3 area, your total shipping cost will be approximately 45 pounds times 53 cents, which equals $23.85. Unless you request otherwise, we always select the least expensive shipping option. We are fully capable of utilizing 5-Day Ground when conditions are favorable. Check with us if you live in a 5-Day Zone. When comparing shipping costs keep in mind that we apply a 4% discount on all of the items in an order when the order is 65 pounds, a discount of 8% on orders of 130 pounds, and a 12% discount on orders hitting 195 pounds. The randomly selected shipping weights shown below illustrate how the size of an order impacts your per-pound shipping costs. In other words, you can save money by crafting orders that hit optimum shipping weights.
